Lien Nguyen has been with IDG since 2008. As an Associate, Lien works closely with several of the Fund’s portfolio companies.

Prior to IDG Ventures, Lien worked as research analyst at Westat, a US-based statistical survey research organization, in a large-scale project evaluating a work authorization program carried out by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Before that, she held positions at Ashoka, the world’s largest association of leading social entrepreneurs, and the World Wildlife Fund in the Global Forest and Trade Network, in a pilot project on the US market of Vietnamese wood products.

Lien graduated Magna cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Randolph Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia with a BA in Economics.

Lien enjoys travel, TED talks, non-cheesy fiction and business books, Pilates, and teaching English.
