Trung Vu is the Chief Financial Officer for IDG Ventures Vietnam. His main area of responsibility is Accounting and Finance as well as fund reporting. In addition to managing the internal accounting and financial matters of the Fund, he oversees the management of the financial, legal and tax aspects of the Fund’s investment activities in Vietnam.

Trung has experience in various sectors and industries in Vietnam, including a position at Vietnam Airlines as a financial analyst. Prior to joining IDG Ventures, he worked as the Senior Manager of Tax and Business Services at Grant Thornton Vietnam.

Trung earned a Bachelors Degree from the Prague University of Economics, followed by a post-graduate diploma with distinction from the Maastricht School of Management in The Netherlands. As a Fulbright Scholar, he studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received an MSc in Economics and Accounting Science. He is a US-certified CPA and was a graduate member of the Alpha Chapter of Illinois.

Trung’s hobbies include reading, movies (fiction) and jazz music. He is married and has two children, a boy and a girl.
