GES Inc. Selected as Turnkey Service Provider to Tokyo Electron Limited’s (TEL)
GES Inc., a global equipment engineering service provider, today announced it has entered a supplier agreement with Tokyo Electron Limited, a world leading supplier of equipment and processing solutions to the global semiconductor industry, to provide turnkey refurbishment and modification service on some selected TEL legacy products.
Under this agreement, GES will provide the total service package on a global operation basis including used equipment purchase, dismantling, packaging, shipping, refurbishment, installation and warranty.
According to Kenny Sunohara, VP and General Manager of TEL’s Field Solutions Business Unit, “We selected GES because of our long standing positive experience with their engineering service quality, their equipment manufacturing capabilities in Viet Nam, and we believe this supplier agreement will expand our global business opportunity and ensure customer satisfaction in our Field Solution business.”
All remanufacturing activities will be done at GES manufacturing facilities located in the tax exempted Saigon High Tech Park, Viet Nam. Only proprietary parts and components designed or qualified by TEL will be used in the refurbishment and modification. Technical teams of both companies will work closely to ensure meeting all customer requirements in the reliability and performance of the refurbished equipment.
